The Rhinelander Police Department's K-9 Units are comprised of Sergeant Chad Brown with K-9 Odin and Officer Mark Raddatz K-9 Jason.
Odin is a German Shepard from Holland. Odin is a Dual Purpose K9 certified in narcotic detection and patrol work. Sergeant Brown and Odin attended a four week Basic Handler's Certification Course Jessiffany K-9 Service in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin.
Jason is a Belgian Malinois who was born in Alberta, Canada and was first trained at Top Tier K9 in Madison, Florida. Jason is a Dual Purpose K9 certified in narcotic detection and patrol work. Officer Raddatz and K9 Jason complete annual certification at Steinig Tal Kennels in Campbellsport, Wisconsin.
